United ID Services is a new non-profit service organization with the mission to simplify and provide trusted online identities, free of charge.
Our goal is to educate users on secure Internet identification and authentication, and facilitate global implementation of open identity standards, enabling one single and secure online identity to an endless number of e-services.
We believe that easy movement across the Internet, without having your identity compromised, is a basic human right, will empower democracy and unfold the potential of the next generation Internet.
Technical support
In close collaboration with the existing open identity initiatives, we are bringing together a dedicated engineering team, ensuring a well documented and fully supported open source reference package.
Identity service
In order to accelerate adaptation of trusted identities, and to be long term self-sustaining, we will provide an independent online identity service, offering additional security beyond username/passwords.
